My Portfolio

Still Art is the picture that I must say I am most proud of! I set up a picture of my cell phone, sunglasses and a piece of ribbon on a wooden table. I added a layer to the background and traced every single last detail of each object. After that was done I added a white layer and a fill layer and colored everything the appropriate color. After that was finished I added texture to the top of my glasses and to the wooden table. The texture I added to the sunglasses made the glasses look more like my actual glasses. The texture added to the table made it look like real wood. I love this picture and I hope that you do too! * This is an original photo.
I wanted to do another announcement, and what better announcement to do than one for a bake sale. For the upcoming school year we fundraise (bake sale) a whole lot and I’m going to use this as a flyer. I just used the graphic and picked a color from the frosting using the eyedropper tool to write my text. I also used the rescale tool to size the cupcake. I chose to put this in my portfolio to show diversity.Cupcake. [Online Image]. http://www.foodclipart.com/food_clipart_images/cupcake_silhouette_0515-0910-2919-1223_TN.jpg. July 11, 2010.
Under the weather is another idiom. I combined a weather graphic and the graphic of a man on two different layers. I took the color of the cloud using the eyedropper tool and painted his shirt that color so that the graphics looked like they belonged together. I chose this photo for my portfolio because it is a change of pace. Man [Online Image] http://images.paraorkut.com/img/clipart/images/s/sad_guy-855.png. This is an idiom of “play it by ear”. I used both the rescale tool and the rotate tool for both of the graphics. I used a little typography in the corner of the picture to spice it up a bit and to add some of my flair to it. Each graphic was on a different layer including the text, this made it easy to manipulate each thing and make them fit with one another more realistically. I like this message behind picture and that’s why I chose to put it in my portfolio. Ear. [Online Image]. http://www.edupics.com/ear-t9527.jpg. July 6, 2010.

Posted by PicasaThis is an avatar of singer songwriter for the “Bad Boy” label the beautiful Cassie. I started my adding a line layer and tracing every little bit of the picture. I use a 19 point brush for the larger things and for the facial features I used an 11 point brush and smaller as needed; that way her features didn’t look clunky. After that I added a white layer and a fill layer. For the fill layer I used the eyedropper tool to pick out the exact color for the original picture so that it could look as close as possible. I think this is a good example of an avatar and that’s why I chose to put it in my portfolio. Cassie. [Online Image] http://blogs.villagevoice.com/statusainthood/archives/images/cassie.jpg. This is my agitating yet adoring four year old niece Anasia. When she was one and her father told her to say her name all she could say was Nani and it stuck, needless to say the title of this picture in Nani. I did an avatar of her (because she made me do it : ). I started with the background then I added a line layer and I used a 19 point pencil to outline her body head and the big things. When I moved to her head I used an 11 point pencil for detailing. After that layer I added a white layer and a fill layer. I used the eyedropper tool in order to get the colors as close as possible. I am very pleased with this avatar and that is why I chose to put it in my portfolio. Ps I think she likes like a character from little bill.

This is an absolutely beautiful photograph taken of myself by myself. I started this picture by playing with filters until I got to some that I liked. I added a softglow filter to this picture and a oilify filter. This picture is timeless and beautiful and that is why it is a part of my portfolio. The mood of the photograph is love for self and others. The corner of the picture says “Live.Love.Laugh” in the color of my t shirt this adds to the photograph.

The day after my birthday I and a few close friends were on a road trip, and I decided to take car pictures. The original is EXTREMELY cool, but I enhanced it with a neon filter with a radius of 8.00 and the amount of 1.00. After that I added a cartoon filter effect. I love the way this picture turned out and that’s why I chose the picture a representation of my best work. This is an original photo.

I work for prevention and youth services and it is a company targeted towards youth in order to keep them safe out of the streets, and off of drugs. We are doing a photovoice project and this is the photo I came up with. I took this photo behind my job at the railroad tracks, I love the lighting the realness, and I love the message. The text says “Choose your path, which route will you take?” I chose this picture for my portfolio because it shows my style and makes one think. Which route will you take?
The title of this picture is “coiled passion” I named it this because that is the title of the poem that I wrote during the school year. I always wanted the pose in the background for one of my poems and here it is shown here. I started with a blank image and then I added a layer which is the photograph of me. After that I typed my poem in, but something didn’t seem right; therefore, I played with the opacity until it felt perfect. I love this picture and that it why it had to be a part of my portfolio. This is an original photo.
